A Night at the Copa

SCENE:
The evening begins in the beautiful ballroom of The Copa, where everyone is eagerly awaiting for the opening act to begin. Sounds from the sizzling music of the Mambo Swing are enjoyed by all as the beautiful Copa Birds enter, dancing to the rhythmic beat of the drums as they play louder and louder. It's a night of dancing, comedy, song and some of the best entertainment around......that is, until the MC is interrupted by Harry Malone and Daphne Moron, who enter the ballroom late. They are the epitome of the classic but not forgotten movie characters, Fred Astaire and Jane Powell. Their tardiness to the Copa is attributed to the fact that it is Daphne's birthday and she has forgotten her birthday cake, which has caused a brief but hilarious distraction to the show. With her Bronx accent and outgoing personality, Daphne plans to enjoy her evening with the hope of persuading Harry to marry her. Harry does love Daphne, but can't let his true feelings show for her, because the guys down at the pool hall might think he is a "softy!" After all, they have been together for 25 years!
MEET THE CAST OF THE COPA

FRANKIE MARTIN: MC. Master of Ceremonies. Tall. Good looking. Charismatic. Singer. Actor. Frank has played the musical theater circuit since the days of vaudeville and he knows his craft. He is a smoothe talker with a voice that even Sinatra would envy. Frank has been the MC for the Copa since its inception. He secretly wants to retire and open a poodle parlor for dogs.
HARRY MALONE: Singer. Actor. Harry makes his living as a builder of Bed & Brothels. He currently lives with Daphne Moron and serves on the board of directors for the Organization for the Betterment of Improved Alcohol Use. When he is not down at the local pool hall with friends, he is "skirting" Daphne’s valiant attempts to get him to the wedding alter. He has an eye for the ladies.
DAPHNE MORON: Actor. Singer. Daphne was born in upstate New York where she was raised by her father and 5 brothers on their pig farm. She met Harry Malone, the now love of her life at the local pool hall. A wager on a pool game gone awry between Harry and Daphne, left Harry promising to marry Daphne within 6 days after the bet. It’s been 25 years.
COCO DELIGHT: Marylyn Monroe double. Sexy. Sultry. Singer (so she thinks) Coco was once housekeeper for the Copa, but was discovered one evening by a well known politician who thought Coco had much potential. She is now a regular at the Copa and always the brunt of all those “blonde jokes!”
HELOISE THE HOUSEKEEPER TURNED STRIPPER: Heloise wants more than anything, to get in on the "show biz" act. With cleaning supplies in tote, Heloise unexpectedly takes her feather duster to a new level of cleaning and it’s not stripping the wax on the floors!
MS. LULA BELL: Direct from Dixie, Ms. Lula Bell shares her southern expertise on how to get your mother-in- law to like you. You KILL HER with kindness! With music accompaniment by the Dalton Twins, Lula Bell delivers a “how to” monologue with an “ooh la la finish”
THE COMEDY ACT OF EDY & EDDIE WILLIAMS: After playing over 7,500 shows, Edy wants to call the act quits and hopes that this performance will be their last so they can retire and go to Arizona. However, Eddie has no desire to leave the only life he knows, but old age and a bit of "narcolepsy" on his part definitely convinces Edy, his wife, it's time to call it quits!
MISS BRIDAL VALE: A 5 time National Champion Horse Barrel Racing Rodeo winner, Miss Vale's singing talents can be attributed to her long time friend and horse, "Giddyup!" An exceptional songstress at the Copa, Miss Vale's songs are always a crowd showstopper! Just ask her horse!
MADAME COPA: A long time favorite of the Copa, Madame Copa is the glue to the success of the show. Accompanied by her Copa Birds, she welcomes ALL her guest with a smile and song. She prides herself in keeping the show together until one evening things begin to go a bit awry.
COPA BIRDS: Beautiful sexy showgirls. These sultry singers and dancers have worked their way to the front of the chorus line where they have been given their own song and dance number, guaranteed to make their customers want to come back for more!
COPA DANCERS: The Copa Dancers don't miss a beat of "swing time!" Thrill to beat of the big band music where everyone will leave dancing in the streets!
